چکیده

Objective Speeding in work zones is common and poses significant safety hazards to motorists workers. Previous studies have demonstrated that speeding reduced when workers are visible the drivers, suggesting concern for of influences drivers’ speed choice. Conversely, extent not suggests drivers underestimate increased risk crashes or other damage their vehicles associated with poorer road conditions at roadworks (loose surfaces debris, narrower lane width drop-offs etc.). To better understand factors influencing speeds zones, this paper examined which choices influenced by perceived likelihoods injuring damaging own vehicles. Methods Driver-nominated worker injury vehicle were collected an online survey 405 from Queensland, Australia, showing photographs 12 real-world zones. The data analyzed using regression techniques examine driver-nominated likelihood speeding. Results results supported hypothesis both strongly influence nominated (p < 0.001). Young middle-aged 2.5–6.3 km/h higher than older Car who also held truck licenses 4.5 0.001) 81% odds nominating posted limits car-only licensed drivers. Drivers lower curves (12.1 53% speeding, p 0.001), if adjacent areas travel lanes unpaved had loose materials (11.5 66% odds, (1.4 speed, = 0.004, 27% 0.041).Conclusions In addition driver demographic zone characteristics, perceptions safe depend on These findings suggest interventions heighten may be useful moderating roadworks.

What Makes Molecular Dynamics Work?

The equations of motion for deterministic molecular dynamics (MD) are chaotic, creating problems for their numerical treatment due to the exponential growth of error with time. Indeed, modeling and computational errors overwhelm numerical trajectories in typical simulations. Consequently, accuracy is expected only in a statistical sense, based on random initial conditions. Of great interest the...
